Togo Ministry Update

"Dear Members and Supporters of CIM Ministries” ,

Since the beginning of 2024, the Board of Directors at CIM Ministries has undergone a thorough evaluation of our ministry efforts in Togo. We remain committed to our partnership with EGCT while also exploring additional avenues to enhance the effectiveness of our ministries in the region.

Unfortunately, due to financial constraints stemming from rising costs, we have had to implement some adjustments. It is with a heavy heart that we announce the decision to reduce our staff, leading to the regrettable layoff of Pastor Matthieu Ayena, our Director of Togo Ministries, effective March 1, 2024. We express our deepest gratitude to Pastor Ayena for his dedicated service of 14 years with CIM, and we extend our best wishes to him as he embarks on new ministry opportunities.

Given the escalating inflation in Africa, we have found it necessary, as responsible stewards, to temporarily suspend sending teams or individuals to Togo. Consequently, donations designated for Togo will now be reallocated to the General Fund starting on April 1. This strategic move will provide us with the flexibility to allocate resources where they are most urgently required. Nevertheless, we remain in constant communication with the pastors of EGCT Togo and will continue our ministry efforts there whenever feasible.

We extend our heartfelt appreciation to all those who have generously supported the Togo ministry thus far. We humbly request your continued prayers as we seek the Lord's guidance in navigating the path forward in Togo. Additionally, we invite you to consider becoming monthly donors to our General Fund or supporting our ministries in Ghana and the Roma community. Click here if the Lord is leading you to donate to further His ministries.

We will miss Pastor Matthieu on staff at CIM and we wish him the best as he embarks on the next phase of his ministry. He, truly, is a man who is committed to cross-cultural missions. Born in Togo, studied in China, married a Chinese lady, moved to Canada, and is fluent in many languages including English, French, and Mandarin Chinese. We thank him for his time at CIM and look forward to working with him again in the future as the Lord leads.

Your ongoing support and prayers are invaluable to us as we strive to fulfill our mission of spreading the love and teachings of Christ.

Thank you for your unwavering commitment to CIM Ministries.

Pray With Us:

  • Pray for guidance and direction in our ministries in Togo.  Pray for Pastor Matthieu’s family as he embarks on the next chapter of his life.

  • Please continue to pray for peace in Ukraine. The invasion rages on and innocent lives are lost each day. Pray for House of Mercy as they take care of refugees, physically and spiritually.

  • Pray for the pastors and teachers that we support in Ghana and Togo. Inflation is still greatly affecting their lives. Pray that there will be donors for our benevolent fund so we can help with some of their physical needs. Pray for the formation of STM teams in 2024.

  • Pray for Janice in Ghana and the relaunch of the kid’s club in Nyankpala after her maternity leave.  Pray for the Islamic community during Ramadan.

  • Pray for the finances of CIM Ministries. Pray for new donors and a healthy general fund to run our ministries. In order to run our ministries effectively, we are currently seeking monthly donors. Click here to donate.

  • Pray for CIM USA as they are still looking an Executive Director and Director of Ministry.

  • Pray for those in the CIM family who are dealing with health issues and those who have lost loved ones.  Pray for comfort and healing.

  • Pray that we can effectively share about the resurrection of Jesus Christ during this Easter season.
