Akwaaba means Welcome!

Praise God- I have been in Ghana for just over one week! It has been a whirlwind of a week, filled with many learning experiences and subsequently...many stories to share! I've had many adventures ranging from house hunting, the immigration process, meeting several amazing missionaries and reuniting with the Evangelical Church of Ghana (ECG) leaders, pastors and church members in some of our ministry locations.

Enoch and I meet with some of the children from the community after an ECG church service.

Rev. Isaac Quan (CIM Canada executive dirctor) and I meet with ECG's leadership team in Accra.

Although there have been some setbacks and things don't always go the way we plan (ie: I have to return to Accra from Tamale to sort out immigration!) God has given me His peace and promise of His presence in every aspect of my life. This particular song has been playing on repeat in my mind, "Faithful, you are! Faithful, forever you will be. Faithful, you are! All your promises are Yes and Amen!"

I am still finalizing my housing situation and will most likely move into my unit sometime in February. For the time being, I am grateful for the hospitality of a family who has opened their home to me for the month while I start my language learning in Tamale.

but the Lord determines our steps."
