Back in Ghana!
Our family of 3 has been back in Ghana for two months and are adjusting well by God’s grace. Thanks be to God for our smooth journey from Calgary all the way back to Nyankpala. It was a long three days of traveling, but Lucy did wonderfully!
We spent some time with Enoch’s family in his hometown. It was so nice to see Lucy interacting with her cousins who were eager to play with her!
The kids in Nyankpala have resumed their Kids Club at the Evangelical Church of Ghana Conference Training Center, at times with over 100 children in attendance. Pray for the University Campus Ministry students who are helping with teaching the children from the community. At times, the language barrier (most of the University students are not from the area) and the vast age range of the children who attend make it difficult to teach effectively. However, we praise God for the eager hearts of children to play, sing and learn bible stories.
The Tamale District Evangelical Church of Ghana congregations traveled to Nanton for a 3 day Easter Convention. We joined them for Easter Sunday service, filled with worship and dancing, preaching and praying for the sick and those in need. It was powerful to see so many congregations coming together to bring the Good News of Jesus’ death and resurrection to Nanton! Pastor Thomas Sherro (one of CIM’s supported church pastors) is the zonal pastor for the Nanton area. Please pray for him and his ministry in these predominantly Islamic communities.
It has been an adjustment for our family as we settle into our day-to-day life and responsibilities, but have been so blessed with the people in our lives supporting us and praying for us. Please pray for our family as we focus on raising Lucy and our responsibilities within our ministry. Pray for our upcoming missions trip with a group of University Campus Ministry students to Upper East region from April 18-21.
