Merry Christmas & Church Plant Update

Dear Friends & Family,

Merry Christmas! We praise God for His faithfulness in our lives. It has been a year of learning, adjustments and growth.

Our pastor in Nyankpala (Rev. Emmanuel Alhassan) has been meeting with a new church plant in a nearby village, Galinkpegu, for about a year now. Please click the video below to view a special message and highlight of his ministry in Galinkpegu

Pastor Emmanuel came from a Muslim family. A part of his testimony of how he came to faith in Christ was through literacy learning. He was taught to read English and his local language as a youth, which enabled him to eventually read the Bible and come to an understanding of God for himself.

The new church plant in Galinkpegu consists of 5 adults and around 10 children and youth. Pastor Emmanuel meets with the youth on Monday and Tuesday evenings for literacy learning and to share bible stories.

Pastor Emmanuel’s ministry using literacy as a means of outreach has also inspired my final “creative project” for the bible course I studied about the Gospels and Acts. It is unfathomable that hundreds of prophecies were fulfilled through the life of Jesus Christ. I compiled 26 of the prophecies of Jesus to create an “ABC” book, one fulfilled prophecy for each letter of the alphabet. I look forward to sharing in the joy and wonder of God through the fulfilled prophecies of Jesus with others!

Thank you for your constant care and support for us as a family serving in Ghana. Your prayers have been felt in considerable ways. Thank you also for your support to our church planters, mission school teachers and communities.

We pray and trust God for His plans for us and the ministry with the Evangelical Church of Ghana in 2025.

May God’s peace and joy be with you this holiday season.

Love,

Janice, Enoch & Lucy Jabab
