Nyankpala Kids Club
Enoch and some of the University students in Nyankpala spent a Saturday volunteering with an ongoing construction project for the Evangelical Church of Ghana’s midwifery training school. They contributed their day’s salary of 70 Ghana Cedis each (roughly $7 CAD) to raise money towards the goal of purchasing instruments for the church. In total, they have purchased a drum kit set and raised an additional 1022 GHS over the last two years. I (Janice) am so encouraged by the collective efforts of the students. This is reflective of the high value of a collective group effort that is a part of the Ghanaian culture. As someone who grew up in a much more individualistic culture, this is something that I truly learn a lot from my Ghanaian friends!
We thank God for celebrating Lucy’s 1st birthday this month! God has been so generous in His goodness to our family this year. Enoch continues to keep busy with his farm work in Kpandai, we enjoy fellowshipping and sharing meals with the University students and spending time as a family, watching Lucy learn and grow each day! Her latest favorite activity is climbing stairs, going outside and picking up rocks on our walks.
Thank you for your friendship and prayer support for our ministry and family. Please keep us updated on how we can likewise pray for you.
God bless you,
Janice, Enoch & Lucy Jabab
